Spicy and cheesy mozzarella sticks with a Nashville hot twist.

Ingredients

  • 12 mozzarella sticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Nashville hot seasoning
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Place flour, eggs, and panko in separate shallow dishes.
  2. Mix Nashville hot seasoning into panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Dredge each mozzarella stick in flour, then dip in egg, and coat with panko mixture.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry mozzarella sticks for 1-2 minutes, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Adjust Nashville hot seasoning to your spice preference.
  • For best results, freeze mozzarella sticks for 30 minutes before frying.
